Fossickers Way

Fossickers Way, including Nundle, is one of 15 iconic road trips identified by Visit NSW. It is a great touring route that explores the history and flavour of the beautiful New England region. Nicknamed gemstone country after the abundant sapphires and gems discovered here, you’ll discover stunning landscapes, historic country towns, delicious local produce, and authentic country events such as Nundle’s own Great Nundle Dog Race, Nundle CWA Art Show, or Nundle Country Picnic.

Along the way try your luck fossicking for gold and gems, visit one of Australia’s last working spinning mills, and explore fascinating colonial heritage and pretty historic goldmining towns in the splendid New England region of NSW.
